Unité de Recherche Environnement, Génomique et Protéomique (UR - EGP)

Objectif de l’Unité :

L’unité Environnement, Génomique et Protéomique est une unité de recherche qui fédère les compétences de huit chercheurs cadrés de la Faculté des sciences répartis dans deux laboratoires de recherche relatifs d’une part à l’Environnement et le Développement Durable et d’autre part à la Biodiversité et la Génomique Fonctionnelle.

Riche d’un large éventail de compétences dans ces domaines, elle constitue un pôle d’envergure en environnement, en matériaux fonctionnels, en sciences atmosphériques et modélisation, traitement de déchets solides, génomique, virulence microbienne…

Ainsi, dans un environnement global en mutation rapide, une meilleure compréhension des phénomènes, la proposition de nouvelles alternatives représente de nouveaux défis pour ces chercheurs.

L’étude et la surveillance de la qualité de l’air à l’échelle nationale devient une priorité. Son étude est complexe et relève de facteurs multiples en grande interaction. Les impacts environnementaux sanitaires et économiques sont de taille. Aussi, l’outil de modélisation joue un rôle important dans l’évaluation intégrée des problèmes engendrés et contribuent grandement à une meilleure compréhension, caractérisation et représentation des phénomènes. Par ailleurs, la crise des déchets solides constitue un autre défi permanent. Sa gestion durable est la solution obligée. L’innovation et l’optimisation des procédés durable pour le traitement et la valorisation de ces déchets à risques, semblent indispensables pour mettre en place des réseaux de traitement. La proposition de nouveaux matériaux, hybrides sur mesure, de fonctionnalités spécifiques, constitue à n’en pas douter, une percée d’innovation pour répondre à certains de ces problèmes environnementaux.

D’un autre côté, dans un environnement en perpétuelle mutation, la capacité à produire du matériel végétal adapté à des conditions climatiques (environnementales), agronomiques diverses et changeantes est une priorité absolue. La caractérisation génétique constitue également un véritable défi scientifique. La génomique, l’informatique et la modélisation ouvrent des voies nouvelles pour étudier les relations entre diversité génétique, virulence des pathogènes, comportement agronomique et réponse à la sélection. Etudier les fonctions et les interactions de l’ensemble des gènes d’un génome, identifier les facteurs de virulence bactérienne, comprendre les structures et les interactions de l’ADN avec des cellules malades et l’activité antivirale constituent aussi des thématiques clefs des chercheurs.

Cette Unité de Recherche renforce le potentiel de ces équipes dans les domaines où elles jouissent d’une reconnaissance nationale et fédère leurs efforts de recherche autour de projets transversaux de qualité où des compétences pluridisciplinaires sont indispensables.

Ce système produit des combustibles sous forme de mélange de gaz de plusieurs constituants. Ce mélange de gaz pourra être stocké ou injecté directement dans le carburateur d’un engin thermique ou électrique.
